How to hide  a specific user name from the login screen of the Windows 7

STEP 1 :- Open the "Registry Editor".

 "Press "Windows key + R" -> type "REGEDIT" -> then click on "OK"". 





               
                                                                          OR

 "Go to Start -> type "REGEDIT" -> then click on "REGEDIT".



   Then Click on "YES" on the "UAC prompt".


This will open the "Registry Editor" Wizard as shown below :                                                                  



 STEP 2 :- Then navigate the following path in "Registry Editor " Wizard.

            "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon"


STEP 3 :- In the next step create a new key under "Winlogon" and named it  "SpecialAccounts" as follows :

           "In the left panel, right click on "Winlogon" and click on "New" and then click on "Key".
                  
             Type "SpecialAccounts" and press Enter key". 





STEP 4 :- Create a new key under the newly created key "SpecialAccounts" and named it "UserList" as shown below:

 "In the left panel , right click on "SpecialAccounts" and then click "New" and then click "Key".
  Type "UserList" and then press Enter Key".




STEP 5 :- Create a new "DWORD (32 bit)" value under "UserList".

"In the right panel of "UserList", right click on empty area and click "New" and then click on "DWORD(32bit) Value".
Type the name of that USER which you want to hide and then press Enter key".







STEP 6 :- Now modify the user account value as follows:

"In the right panel, right click on user account name and then click on "modify"".

 To hide user account type here 0 (zero) and,
 To unhide user account type here 1 (one).






After doing this "Logoff" your computer and check it.
